Senior Motion Designer - Social Media

Digital boutique creative agency has an immediate opening for a full time Sr. Motion Designer. While we work within a wide range of digital creative, our main focus is on social media and digital banner campaigns specifically with entertainment clients. We play in a fast paced environment, and we’re looking for someone who has the experience to hit the ground running from day one. You must be fluent and experienced in After Effects and must have experience with building social creative.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Take motion graphic projects from inception to completion
  • Work with Creative Director, Motion Graphics Director, Producer and team to concept and strategize around creative briefs
  • Revise work based on internal and external notes in a timely manner
  • Be able to efficiently manage time and communication through a PMS

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with motion graphics, typography, design, and 2D/3D animation
  • Must have good design, layout, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure with a deadline driven team environment
  • Must be proficient with After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator (additional Adobe Creative Suite products is a plus)
  • Must be proficient in Element 3D (Cinema 4D is a bonus)

Location and Job Hours:

  • Full Time Position - Hours are 10am - 7pm with occasional overtime required
  • Office is located on Wilshire Blvd near LACMA (parking included)

Digital Designer

As Digital Designer, a major part your role will require the adaptation of product and keyart to various banner layouts and formats. You should be able to work quickly and precisely in this effort. Experience and understanding of display media and social media is definitely helpful. Entrenched in motion picture promotions, the ideal candidate should have at least a developing interest in film and industry marketing. While the primary function of this role is production, there will be opportunities to design and create for much more elaborate projects. In this capacity you should be more of a multi-tool, with experience in one or more of the following: creative concepting, storyboarding, web design, print, front-end web development, motion graphics, editing or other creative acumen.

The Work

  • Resize and repurpose digital files for online graphics such as banners and social media
  • Maintain corporate brand standards and style guidelines
  • Creation of endframes for video based banner ads
  • Working closely with senior designers, producers and creative director
  • Social media concepts and design
  • Creating endframes for video based banner ads
  • Shifting project priorities as necessary based on changes to company-wide goals
  • Ensuring all projects are completed on time in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality
  • Participating in company wide creative brainstorm meetings

The Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to develop quality while maintaining positive attitude in the face of constant change
  • Extensive knowledge of typography and layout with a good sense of color and design
  • Understanding of how to work with smart objects
  • Have the penchant for symmetry, alignment, and kerning, and logo placement
  • Experience and understanding of display media and social media is definitely helpful
  • Helpful to have awareness of trends, including social media/marketing strategies.

Jr Digital Production Designer

Just graduated from art school? Off for the summer? Instead of serving coffee and going to the movies this summer, why not drink coffee and actually work on movies instead? Sounds like a solid plan.

In this ENTRY LEVEL position, the Digital Production Designer will work closely with Art Directors and Producers performing layout and design tasks. A major responsibility will be resizing and organizing existing designs for banners, primarily for theatrical movie releases. Our work is entrenched in motion picture promotions, so the ideal candidate should have at least a developing interest in theatrical digital marketing. While the primary function of this role is production, opportunities to contribute original social media concepts and/or designs may be included as well. This is a great opportunity to develop your portfolio with high-profile properties.
